Description

Enquire Now by contacting info@thecrewacademy.com

This transformational senior leadership program not only provides the knowledge and tools needed to manage and lead through management challenges but brings together a diverse portfolio of participants, including those at Command & management level or equivalent, who share a common interest in operating in and around the senior leadership level in the maritime sector.

The Command & Senior Leadership program is delivered in a safe and open learning environment by a carefully selected team of trainers, facilitators, and specialist lecturers with Yachting, Defence, Merchant Navy and Corporate backgrounds.

The syllabus is underpinned by individual psychometric assessment to enhance self-awareness and includes Personal Development coaching / mentoring to maximise personal and team performance.

Each intake is limited to 25 candidates to ensure the best possible collaborative learning experience and outcomes.

Applications to join the October 2022 cohort are now open.

Course Format

  • Core learning that is directly applicable in your role and aligned to your own personal growth development plan and goals

  • Twice Weekly online live interactive workshops throughout the program

  • Keynote lectures given by globally recognised leaders in their fields

  • Support from our team of 10 expert trainers and facilitators throughout the duration of your course

Why you need this programme ?

Maritime training focusses primarily on the operational aspects of the role, but if you asked every leader whether they are land based or at sea what challenges them the most, the answer wouldn’t be technical, it will be their leadership and their linked relationship with either management, the crew, the captain, or the principal.

34.1% of surveyed leaders in yachting haven’t had any formal leadership training yet perform in high-pressure environments.

Testimonials

" Brilliant course for developing and fine tuning your leadership skills. Instructors and Keynote speakers have been outstanding."

Chris Durham - Captain, Savannah

" Have the conversations you’ve had many times with yourself throughout your career with likeminded peers, mariners and professionals. This process can only make you a better leader."

Matt Drew - Yacht Manager, DPA Edmiston Yachts

"Until now, as a yacht Captain, the skill I use the most is the skill I have studied the least."

Paul Neill - Yacht Captain, 65m Feadship

"The keynote speech from Andy Salmon brings a wealth and depth of real-world leadership experience. His experiences in front line command roles in some of the hardest environments gives him an authenticity not often seen in speakers."

James - Yacht Captain, 60m Yacht

“Military vs yachting as many might ask, it’s no different, it’s all about looking after your people. Many words here that keep repeating, build on success, influence, empowering, listening, safe space, appreciation, and positivity. It’s about change to improve people’s mentality to serve them better, fantastic.”

Simon Jones - Yacht Captain - 140m Yacht

“I think the course is certainly going to make waves and in a way that will be required for the industry”.

Nick Doyle - Yacht Captain - 60m Yacht

“I am so proud to be part of this journey”.

Matt Drew - CO / Yacht Manager
